And he's oh so good... and he's oh so kind... and he oh so helpful with his money and his time...

What's the title & who did it?
It just might make the set list someday.

Good job bobbo! That was lost in the short term memory issues I have that were induced by certain activities at the time.

Pretty good, Bob.
Extra points awarded considering those aren't the right lyrics...

'Cause he gets up in the morning,
And he goes to work at nine,
And he comes back home at five-thirty,
Gets the same train every time.
'Cause his world is built 'round punctuality,
It never fails.

And he's oh, so good,
And he's oh, so fine,
And he's oh, so healthy,
In his body and his mind.
He's a well respected man about town,
Doing the best things so conservatively.

And his mother goes to meetings,
While his father pulls the maid,
And she stirs the tea with councilors,
While discussing foreign trade,
And she passes looks, as well as bills
At every suave young man

(chorus)

And he likes his own backyard,
And he likes his fags the best,
'Cause he's better than the rest,
And his own sweat smells the best,
And he hopes to grab his father's loot,
When Pater passes on.

(chorus)

And he plays at stocks and shares,
And he goes to the Regatta,
And he adores the girl next door,
'Cause he's dying to get at her,
But his mother knows the best about
The matrimonial stakes.

(chorus)

And he likes his fags the best,
Refers to cigarettes... right?

Yes, I'm sure that's what Ray told the British censors, at the time.

Well, we took a short run at it.
On the plus side it has some nice harmonys and it's something you never hear anyone else play.
Then on the other hand, the lyrics are kinda "seedy" for a couple of 50 plus year old men.

Yeah... I appreciate that.
I'm not ruling it out quite yet.
The chorus is just so damn cool.

Ray got away with it because the chorus is the only part where you can understand what he's saying.

Hmmm. change "fags" to "cigs"...
"Pulling the maid" is very obscure and very British...
"Cause he's dying to get at her" is such a great line....

.
It's not off the table yet.
Must be the crowd I've been hanging around as of late.
.
But I'm still NOT gonna play LOLA.

I had typed that I was not going to "do" Lola then figured I'd better edit that.

You guys should take a stab at "Apeman".
