Great fingerpicker, I've just decided I need a narrower nut due to my wrist problems. Had to get rid of my Takamine Bluegrass for the same reasons, but haven't had the heart to let this one go.

It's just sitting though and not being played, so it's up and available.

Arguably my best looking O. The top is gorgeous, and I really like the unique rosette and single inlay (maple I think) at the 12th fret. The slothead and open geared tuners add a touch of class as well. The "Ovation" on the headstock is also inlaid with the same wood as the 12th fret. A stunner for sure. I hate to see it go. This guitar is in EXCELLENT condition. It was owned by 2 other forumites that I'm sure can attest to it's condition, as well as several others that played it at the NW gathering.

Aside from the FD-14, I'd say it's one of the best Folklores ever made. I really like the hand rubbed Urethane neck.

This is not the newer LX with the 1 3/4 nut. THis is the older 1 7/8 version with the OP-X preamp.

Guitar Center has one on their site under "used gear" for $1000. I'm asking $750 shipped which is better than what I paid on it. All manuals and case are included.

Would consider a trade for the narrower nut 6774LX.

I have more (as well as higher rez) pics available. Just ask.

Thanks for looking.

I'll attest. It looked like new and played great at the NW gig. I think it was what I was playing Classical Gas on when I "inspired" Professor BB to learn it. The front is very light colored, just like Damon's pics. Similar to the color of the Engleman spruce on the 05 Collector's.

Thanks Mark, also I've been meaning to thank you for the Croce sheet music. I've been trying to get my pickin' fingers to follow along.

This is the perfect guitar to do it on too, I wish my wrists could handle the 1 7/8

Capo Guy... TJ's gone off the deep end. Now he's only buying guitars with NO WOOD AT ALL! ;)

Stephent28 told me about Pete Huttlinger. I put anything by him on my Christmas list last year and got 3 of his training dvds. They are all very good, but I've only worked through most of the Croce one. His fingerstyle exercise one is excellent as a practice tool, even if you can't graduate up to the tougher stuff. His John Denver stuff has more alternate tunings and seemingly harder patterns, if you could call them that, than the Croce stuff. Try them out and then you'll want to keep this guitar to play them on.

Last week for OFC exclusivity. Will put up locally here on Sunday.

For those who have talked about trades, I still need to sell this or the GC 12 string. Which ever sells first, well the other will be up for trade possibilities.

If Damon can get Anne and Nancy to deliver it it would be awesome!

Thank Mr. G for stirring this deal together. Investment work must be slowing down.

Damon - this is the exact model that I need. Cannot afford the excellent asking price. Will post a new thread asking if anyone here has one for less. Otherwise, I may be forced to buy outside of Ovation - Epiphone EF-500 Masterbuilt which has 1 3/4 nut. Do you still have the folklore Damon?
