I've been looking for this guitar through several years, but I didn't have the money to finally purchase it until now. Lucky me, because of the bad news about Hartford closing and if I didn't have the money now, who knows, maybe I could have never buy this pretty thing. But today I'm really happy that everything worked and I still feel like a dream came true, as I had seen this guitar so often in pics and videos, but never had the chance to play one and it feels nice to have this kind of familiar feeling to the instrument I just purchased, have never had before, even when I own some other good guitars that I love too. Well, I have to say that the guitar is just like I expected, for me the best looking acoustic guitar at all, it sounds really nice, feels good to have it in the hands and I like every detail on it. For me it's just the perfect acoustic guitar. So I will share some pictures of this nice Adamas with you, and hopefully I can upload soon some video with its sound too. I also wanted to thank Al from LostArtVintage here too, for the fast shipping and careful packaging, and of course also Kaki King for having such a good taste designing her signature guitar and being one of my favorite musicians, and I must say there aren't many artists in the world that I could call favorite, but she's surely one of them. Cheers and hope to be posting a video with sound here soon... I thought I was about two years away from my dream guitar (custom 1688 with slothead) but of course that will never happen now. I can only hope that there will still be some of the NH Guild Orpheums around by that time as a second choice.

Here is a shortened and very bad played cover of Kaki King's "Night After Sidewalk". Sound is also not that good because I still don't have a mic and I just recorded through the Adamas pre-amp using my Kemper Profiling Amp to use some reverb. I also didn't edit the sound, just a band cut for the frequencies under 120Hz to avoid too much bass.
I'll update this cover as soon as I learn the song completely and can play it good enough to make a decent recording, but I just wanted to share this with you. I'm also uploading a video with some images on details of this Adamas, I'll post it also as soon as it's done. Hope you enjoy it.

And it was great to find your shop here too, because it was the best price I could find. There was also a seller here in Europe, in Italy, but his price would've been more expensive, even when I shouldn't pay customs on the shipping. I'm glad I've bought it from you, cheers from Germany.

Does anybody know which kind of lacquer finish does this Adamas 1581-kk or maybe Ovation Adamas generally have on the neck? The lacquer on my guitar kind of feels like nitro, but I'm not 100% sure and on the Ovation Website it only says "Glossy"... Edited by kessel 2014-05-11 9:57 PM

Greetings from Hamburg.
