Just wondered if anyone caught the early white Breadwinner on ebay. Early production model with the jack socket on the edge. It didn't last long.
(32022401738) Got to admit it was very tempting, but didn't know if he would ship to England !

Hi James, it went for $1,150.00 `Buy It Now'
Lasted about 10 minutes before someone bought it!
If I hadn't just bought an Elite, I wouldn't have hesitated. (If he would have been willing to ship to England, that is !)
What's the `Old Dart' by the way?

amazing price since it wasn't all original.

at least he was smart enough to save the original parts and make it restorable.

To James - Yes I'm from England, I haven't heard that turn of phrase before - I've been informed it refers to the `Old Country' - Sorry for my ignorance ... and 'ere's me thinkin' I'd been insulted !

Maybe it wasn't in it's original state, but restoring it to such would not have been a problem, I think that was the attraction of it - I would certainly have had a bid if not for my recent purchase, he who hesitates is lost, as they say.

Clyde, My father in law emigrated to Oz from the UK in the 50's and he often referred to it as the "Old Dart"
My daughter lives in London and works for EMI
Hey Woody I didn't realise you had a store

Well... it's the UK, so must be "tart."

I see - as in "You Tart!" Thanks for the suggestion Miles, it could be a lot worse I suppose !

James, the `Dart' bit in `Old Dart' could probably be derrived from `The Old Dirt' meaning the soil of the old country. That must be an interesting job your daughter has at EMI - I live quite a bit further north up in Barnsley, Yorkshire.

James, there's an interesting instrument come up on eBay - shipping within Australia only - 270215690029. (What might happen if Fender build a Breadwinner !)
