If i recall correctly, Mark's daughter found it anatomically uncomfortable.

I don't think there would be any difference than a male player unless you've got huge tits that hang down to your waist. Dave

My daughter is hardly that large, Dave, nor that saggy, but she thought the contour bowl was for guys with potbellies only. It might be better if she were taller and stood up while playing, but she's fine with the regular roundback for that.

I don't think she ever played a contour bowl. They'd probably fit Ann just fine.

I would think the contour bowl would feel more like a traditional dreadnaught than the roundback bowl, and there would be no need for this:

Ovation guitar accessory provides standing stability

You only need the stability accessory on the roundbacks, not the contour bowl. Dave

The damn thieves stole a carload of equipment from a friend, including her custom made electric violin, a new Fender amp, an expensive mic, her mandolin, and some other stuff. Anyhow, she's a starving but very talented young professional musician now in need of a variety of equipment to earn a living, including a new 12 string.

Being a humble O fan, I quickly recommended the 2058T because of the outrageous pricing and the great reviews people here give the Elite T 12's and contour bowls. But then there is the question of a contour bowl properly fitting a feminine contour.

Which is how this came to be a topic in the first place.

She just needs to try one and see how she likes it. Of course, around here you can't find any.

If Dolly Parton can play a guitar (any guitar) — and she can — I don't see there would be much of an issue with an Ovation in particular.
