FOR SALE: 40TH ANNIVERSARY SHINY BOWL BALLADEER REISSUE

o 40th Anniversary Reissue of the K-1111 Balladeer
o Hand laid shiny deep bowl
o 3 piece spruce top
o X bracing
o 5 point brazillian rosewood bridge
o Inlaid chainlink and grapes rosette
o Balladeer script on headstock
o Original style Kluson tuners
o Serial number 2 of the reissue series

This is the most amazing recreation of the original shiny bowl balladeer you could possibly imagine. I've owned several originals and this one is SPOT ON. Every feature and detail is perfectly recreated. And most importantly - THE SOUND. Oh my gosh. One strum of this guitar and you know immediately how Ovation got launched in the first place.

If I was a dealer, this guitar would qualify as NEW. Not a mark on it. I literally bought it (from an ovation dealer) about 2 months ago and have played it less than 10 minutes since. Why? Well, upon receiving the guitar and seeing what kind of perfect vintage recreations they could do, I immediately set out to order up my own custom version which will be delivered soon. So, as wonderful as this guitar is, it's completely redundent to another one in the herd. Not trying to give you a sales job, but honestly the few of these reissues that are available have been selling for $1800 to $2000. And worth every penny. And this one is serial number TWO. How many have YOU seen for sale. That's right, these babies are RARE. Includes brand new hard shell case of course.

More photos and details can be found HERE

$1500. Delivered to your door FedEx in the 48 States.

Email or PM me if interested or if you have questions.

Will you take trade in on a 2000 Silverado extended cab? A fine replacement for the wagon!

I'm going to have to stop watching. This can only get worse.

If I didn't have my Glen Campbell Deluxe Balladeer, this or the Josh White reissue are guitars that I would give my left nut for.

If you've never played an original shiny bowl, let me tell you that they are absolutely wonderful and totally unique in the Ovation world. In my never humble opinion, everybody should have a shiny bowl, original or reissue, in their collection.....

And Clifford's right (boy, it hurts to say that -- luckily I don't have to say it very often). These things are just incredible when mic'd with a condenser mic.

actually moody's right...shiny bowls are so underappreciated soundwise, but that is because there are so few...and this one is mint...just when i thought I was out...

My birthday is tomorrow. You mean my wife hasn't contacted you? I probably better wait for that one in a million chance that she'll get me the OFC guitar.

She didn't know I was drooling over this one, too. Got the OK for the OFC, though, if Al has one left.
