Too bad there's not a video of my son's band last Saturday night. You may remember that I went to see them play at the Masquerade in Atlanta. Well, last Saturday, I went with the wife and daughter to see them headline a local show. They were utterly wild and crazy.

Highlights:
1) Did you see the beginning to "School of Rock"? In like fashion, Adam ended the last song by taking off his bass and taking the highest, longest stage dive he could muster. Nobody caught him. One good friend tried to break his fall and paid the price.

2) The main guitarist did a "spin". He uses a wireless on his Les Paul, and duct tapes the strap to the guitar. He throws the guitar down with such force that it spins all the way around his body. Really cool, except... the strap came off and the LP hit the stage with enough force to tear off a couple of tuners, and cause some other damage.

3) There was plenty of slam dancing, though we decided not to partake.

If you want to hear their new music for the 3 song EP, it's at Seven Story Fall

Yep, it's loud rockin' with some screamin' thrown in for good measure, but pretty good for five 11th graders.

Now THAT sounds a good gig!

Nothing wrong with a bit of showmanship, I'd say. Hope your little dude is OK after incident 1). I can sympathise - that's exactly what would happen to me...

Tell them to keep rockin!

JB
