I received my 2080 about 2 weeks ago this wednesday, and after some new strings and a trip to my local guitar wizard she's finally starting to settle in. I'd say about another month and it'll be like butter! When I got my 6778LX it was "stiff" feeling at first. Then after a set up and a month or two of playing A LOT it settled into (up until now) my favorite one to play.

So is there a magical moment when a guitar just seems to come alive or is it all in my head :D

Not in your head scartozi. When I recieved my 1778 LX I must say that at first I was disappointed. But as I forced myself to play it, time and time again, it has opened up wonderfully. ( My SO has even noticed this and that says alot). I have 2 other older guitars ( a 15 year old O and a 31 year old Epiphone Acoustic) that age has blessed with wonderful tone, I anticipate that the same will happen with the 1778LX. Patience has it's rewards!!
