Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum. I own two Ovation Balladeer Specials. a Model S771 and a Model S861-4W. The S771 is my main gigging guitar, the S861-4W is a back up. I found this forum in my search for a replacement receptacle (or can) for the S771 preamp cartridge, which is an OP 20. So far, I've learned that the OP Pro, VIP and Pro Studio preamps will fit the hole, but the cans are not the same as the OP 10, 20, 30, etc. So, I either need an OP 20 can, or a complete OP Pro assembly. "My Dusty Guitar" and "Guitar Repair Parts" seem to be out of stock. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Good morning!

Just an update to my previous post. I was able to cut a small piece of plastic and facilitate a repair to the preamp receptacle, so she's as good as new. At some point I think I'd like to upgrade to the OP Pro Studio, but it's no longer an urgent need.
