I have a 1990 Ovation Legend which has the OP 20 Pre-amp consisting of a volume control and three EQ sliders. One of the sliders came loose and fell out. I would like to know if anyone know how I can get into the top of the preamp to try to reinsert the slider. Unable to do this without removing the cover. I took out the four screws but the plate would not lift out. Is there screws underneath the decal with the setting numbers?

I am guessing that you really mean an OP-24 preamp.
Here is a photo that I found on the web that shows where the screws are...

The screws are actually under the decal.
The preamp is much bigger than the "face" of the preamp.
Once you remove the volume knob and the slider knobs...
Then the preamp will fall inside of the guitar once the four screws are removed.
I do not know if you can repair the slider... So I am not recommending that you do this.
But that is how to remove the preamp.
