I was just browsing around Jerome's site looking at Custom Legends http://www.ovationtribute.com/Acoustic%20Series/Custom%20Legend/Cus...

when the difference between standingO's best CL ever made and Koenig Kurt's CL and wondering what are the different names given (officially) to the different 2 and 3 colour bursts?

That CL of Dave's is waaay too good for a uke player. I would take one of those ahead of any two #47s. PLEASE bring it to the Tour Dave.

I don't think those are considered two separate colors, they'll both be dash ones. Two things:

1) Each guitar is hand finished, so there will be variations in the thickness of the outer burst and the "blend" for lack of a better term, and
2) Pictures lie. For instance, here's a shot of my elite..

Looking at my guitar in person, there is no evidence of the "red corona" that shows up in the photo. Mine goes directly from black to amber without a 3rd color in the mix. But it certainly has a more gradual "blend" than the Koenig guitar from Jerome's site. For some reason that blend comes off as a tad reddish in the photo, at least under the lighting conditions at the time.
