Hi all, as a converted roundback player, i feel the need to increase my collection to the electric range of O`s , to be honest i have never had the oppurtunity to listen or play to any of the range, i like my LP but prefer the sound and feel of my SG, so the LP will have to go to fund an O or two, can anyone sort of decribe to me what sort of diffent feels and sounds the UK11, deacon, preacher, breadwinner etc all have?
Maybe a stupid question but i have no experience of these so i need some imput guys!

I have owned my Breadwinner for over 33 years. I was a kid when I bought it and not very wise on sound issues. I kept trying to get dirty, gritty fuzz sound out of it without much success.
Sound is hard to discribe on an internet forum, but I would call the Breadwinner sound "clean and crisp".
If you owned an SG and a Breadwinner I would say that you have instruments quite opposite of eachother.
My BW is an early model with the "original" style pickups. I can't speak about the sound of the later models.
The best real life example I can give is this. I am a big Who fan. Live at Leeds is what an SG is all about. Now Townshend is playing an Eric Clapton Strat onstage. Dirty versus clean.
If you have not heard any live Who music from the last 4 years, e-mail me your address and I'll send you a disc.

Brad
