Anyone ever shaved down internal sound board bracing to allow more flexibility in sound board, when desired ???

I noticed that theAlternative Tuning, string tension set up, that I prefer, has the truss rod backed off to just about nada... (Remember I am only using 4 pr of strings NOT 6 pr on my 1251 Std. Balladeer!!!)

Anyone ever tap tuned a sound board and shaved off some bracing to liven up the top...

Siminoff speaks of such in a book I have of his about Mandos and Banjos (JUST realized those 2 rhymed)but I never heard of anyone "Tap Tuning an acoustic guitar, AFTER it was finished... but seems possible...

I noticed a while back I could get my hand in thru the "pot hole" where the preamp "can" lives... With a mirror juxtapositioned I could do some serious work (damage) with my dremel tool!!!

cwk2 is there a "machine" or computer program to access, that measures SOUND FREQUENCIES, that lay people can afford and allow me to measure such things and give some direction...

I was thinking of removing the fretboard for some other mods..., while "there" I was going to take some of the prebend out... That should put some muscle back in the truss rod...

While we are "on" the fret board subject is there a "Kaman Bar" under there... as exspected???

What type of glue is used to hold the fretboard to the sound board/neck... I assume it will come off with out too much of a fight, with some heat or injected steam...

Are you NUTS!!! Do not use a Dremel tool or anything else for that matter to shave the bracings. If you want a top with scalloped bracing get an LX. Also, why would you even think of attempting to remove the fretboard? Leave the guitar alone, you will undoubtedly damage it if you try any of those "modifications."
