Dave manages to come up with 3 schools that don't exist. I guess it took a shot at Oregon to get Tony away from that slothead. I was talking about Oregon's record against BSU. They couldn't use the turf excuse last year at home.
I'm with US on any of the Florida schools. I don't usually root against any team, but I get some enjoyment when anyone beats one of the three Florida schools. Football is a northern sport. They should ban it in any state where it doesn't snow.

Last year, due to injuries, we had a quarterback who hadn't taken a snap since his freshman year IN HIGH SCHOOL...another example of coaches that don't plan ahead and work their stable. Frankly, about time he became the AD...

Up at 3:30AM. I got picked for jury duty which starts at 10AM so I've got to get in as full a days work as possible (minus some OFC posts) before heading for the court. Dispite what they say about civic duty, it's not like your employeer actually gives you any time off to serve.

This year we (Syracuse University) RECRUITED a guy who had just played four years of hoop (sure, it was under Coach K @ Duke but still...) and hadn't taken a snap in four years. He was a former high school player of the year and set local qb records and was recruited for both hoop and football. He chose hoops at Duke and had another year of eligibility so he came here to play qb and teach the young guys. Perfect situation - we're rebuilding anyway.

Football is a northern sport.

Yeah right.

Down south here it's a religion.

Keep in mind I am an atheist on these matters.

You didn't grow up in Wisconsin in the 50s and 60s. There were Packer fans...and everyone else was just going to hell.

Heck, I still don't understand why there are Hockey teams in Florida, Pheonix, and Nashville. No one goes to the games.

In Vancouver the local team has lost something like four straight games so far this season, yet they sell out every game for the past 4 years!

Out here we're just Thugs. We're Raiders fans. More like a social disease than a religion.

Weaser ... if you're rebuilding, I know a HS QB who is getting looked at by D1 and D1-AA programs. Tell your recruiting team to look way west. The kid would make his old man real happy by bringing home the scholarship offers. ;)

Another thread that started out innocently enough with a story about a guitar. And turned into 8 pages of "uh huh" and "yeppers". If you are really that bored with the site... don't let the cyber door hitya, where the good lord split-ya...

I really don't care at this point.

And in the voice of Carly Simon wrote...

You probably think this post is about YOU? don't you?
