I didn't like the cheap Schaller Hausers (awaited M6) and the factory guy who thought it was a good idea to put a natural bridge on a black Custom Legend top still should run if he'd cross my way... But now, since Schaller introduced the great GrandTune tuners for classicals as well the time was right for a swap. And I stained the bridge as well. Before:
And now: The great Schaller GrandTunes with black rollers and black acrylic buttons:
Stained bridge, still drying:
Pics of the guitar, stringed and ready to go, will follow. Best regards, Kurt

I am a big fan of the new Schaller GrandTunes - and while the bridge is drying over night, you can look at the pics of my GrandTune customized Adamas here: http://www.ovationfanclub.com/megabbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=37...

Hi arumako, I ordered the stain Stewmac offers for ebony fingerboards - to find out it's usual fountain pen ink.

I don't do these things too much to my Ovations, since they are all quite perfect to my eyes - but I have no Martin or Santa Cruz that did not get some kind of treatment. tuners, glossing necks, slotting bridges and stuff. There are times to play and times to give them the tool time treatment!
