I wonder if anyone here could tell about the pros an cons of the different bracing patterns used in Ovations.

Borrowed this from Ovation Gallery:

I'm a fan of the A Brace. To my ear the acoustic sound is warmer with more range.

The fan bracing(s) were used on various 12 string models, I believe...

Where does the "quintad" bracing fit in, such as on the Adamas?

A bracing was developed, based upon the Quintad bracing which is used on multi hole Ovations. The Quintad bracing was first used on Adamii and then Elites.

The A and X are the ones that have stood the test of time, for the round holes, which is what he was asking I think.

Is the "X" bracing listed in the picture the same as used on the new LX's? Because mine (1771LX)doesn't seem to have the bracing surrounding the sound hole like pictured.

It would have much to do with the materials used, plus a lot of experimentation, reminds me of the transistor, for a long time we ( el.engineers) knew it had to work, but it did n`t,until mr.Bardeen and another fellow (his name escaped me )by chance discovered that a little contamination made it work,go figure... ;)
