| I have a 12 string custom balladeer from the early 80s and am looking for a good stand I could use to play it on parts of songs and then switch to electric. Unfortunately we only have 1 guitar player so am looking for a way to quickly switch from acoustic to electric (in the middle of a song). Thanks Paul. |

no, seriously....there is a stand that Ovations work with that does exactly what you are looking for.
It has been discussed 2 or 3 times before even including pics.
I can't remember what it is called but I am sure someone will come along with the name....
and if I remember correctly, they weren't exactly cheap. |

| thanks for the replies, although the search function works well on this website the user (me) does not, can not seem to think of the correct key words to search on. I tried hercules but did not find anything other than this thread. Will try a google search and then try what is found in the search here. |

I don't know where to get them, but knowing the names will help you look for them.
And they ain't cheap...

Location: Denver, CO | Ok so before you call me an idiot: I was certain I remembered Alex playing an Ovation during the Snakes and Arrows tour, but after searching for pics could only find the pic of him with the Martin 12-string on a stand. Checked the gear listing for that tour and sure enough, there it was, the Adamas (classical). Actually the first time I've ever seen a round body on a stand. Can't figure out if that is a sigma (it's greek to me) symbol, and I can't find it on the web, but it's listed as a Sigma Brace Acoustic Guitar Stand.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think someone posted a picture in this forum of Lifeson with an Ovation Classic (probably 1713 or 1763) on what may have been a Gracie stand. If you're looking, you might try some posts by Damon. He's a big Rush fan. |

| Are you guys talking about a music stand or a guitar stand? And, if the latter, are you talking about something that holds the guitar in a playing position or just something to stash the guitar on? Sorry, just not following... The Gracie thing looks like a music stand.
If we're talking about guitar stands for just stashing guitars, the best I've found are the Hercules stands. Just awesome for stage use. |

If you look around in their products they have stands to hold Ovation guitars while you play them.

| found lonig and meyer guitar performance stand on music stands alone website,(supposed to have a stand for everything) but they just informed me it does not fit the round back ovation balladeer, still looking though. Would like a 6/12 string guitar but already have too many guitars. |

| looks like they have the correct one, thinking the 1655 cust balladeer is a deep back? wow you could almost buy half of a doubleneck 6/12 for the price of the stand. May spring for a new one as thinking you do not see these often on ebay. |
