They're in row 14 towards the middle, the venue is the Gorge (best outdoor venue in America). Face value is the cost and since I'm camping overnight I'll throw in my VIP parking pass. I think with the ticketbastard fees it's right around $120ea. I have 2. Going up on Craigslist Sunday night.

I figured you could fly here, I'd drive you the 10 miles to the Idaho Center from my house, pick you up, take you back to the airport and it might still be cheaper. Granted you wouldn't be outside and the acoustics are lousy at the Idaho Center, but if you're in the third row at a rock concert, you don't have any hearing left anyway.

Joined: December 2006 Posts: 6996 Location: Jet City | eh? :D Actually it's specifically due to the venue that I'm going. I saw the show last year and had they done the lame-ass White River venue again, I would have skipped. Nuthin beats a show at the Gorge! Well I spose if they wanted to setup in my garage, that would be cool too.

Could they really go up to $1000, or was that for buying multiple seats? The Idaho Center has an outdoor amphitheater too, but it's nothing special. I wouldn't pay $100 a ticket for anybody, even for a reunion of the Beatles with John and George reincarnated.

The sound is excellent, although there are likely even better concert halls out there in the world for acoustics. However, it is excellent for a city-owned outdoor venue and darn tough to beat for views and ambiance.

Had a bad camping experience there a few years back, and have never been able to convince myself to go back. Likewise, I will never again go to the Clark County Ampitheatre just across the border in Washington State.. the last time I was there was the first, last, and only time I've ever walked out of a concert.

They have a new "Premiere Camp Ground" now which is where we go. It's away from all the crazies. It's still a good time, but fenced off with their own bathrooms and showers and they're even air-conditioned.
