I already have a teardrop burst coming in a couple of months. Teardrop Elite -1 with a lot of Clamshell and the bridge placed in the sweet spot.

I like this and there is a chocolate kind of teardrop that Tacoma does.

Yep. Mine's an S771 (mid-bowl, not ssb). I know the teardrop isn't for everyone, nor is the satin finish, but I love it. In fact, I paid extra to get it since it's no longer a standard paint job.

I think I can handle the "shall not murder" thing but this "not coveting another man's guitar" is kinda tough!

It seems odd that a paint preference could hold a Trademark of sorts but you're right. I will say that the Tacomas have pushed that envelope.

I hope that FMIC let's them survive.
