As a result of the NASA space program initiative study, it was determined that a typical B-52 bomber had an excess of over 200 lbs. of solder! In the past, I've offered to conduct an hour long soldering workshop to cover the basic principles of proper soldering. The background info and logical steps are straightforward and can be mastered by anyone that can plug in a soldering iron. The bottom line is cleanliness and proper heat transfer... | ||

I encourage anyone doing minor repair to take a proper soldering course. Even if you choose to take "shortuts," with the proper training... doing a "quick and dirty" will result in a better quality and longer lasting connection. | ||

I acquired a blonde Viper with an incorrect 2 way mini-switch on it and I'd like to get it back to original shape. It makes Viper #3, so I'll hafta be making a decision on what to keep and what to let go of soon. I think this may be a factory solder job. Iffy, I put the pick guard assy back on. Are there many different 3 way bat switches like these on the Os? If I need to, let me know and I'll remove the pickguard assy again and look for a part#. And thanks everyone! | ||
