Besides, half the time I can't figure out the difference. It took me awhile to figure out the string tubes and then I just decided Witko was completely BS, then I thought he was pretty smart. Joined: January 2005 Posts: 4903 Location: Phoenix AZ | If you have String Tubes on your guitars you have made a big mistake (and I can't imagine how the guitars could sound like anything other than crap). The String Tubes are used for threading the strings through the bridge, so as to avoid clogging up the wrappings with fine wood dust (and also keep from "reaming" out the string hole like a piece of sandpaper). But the tube is to be REMOVED once the string has been threaded through the bridge, and then you wind the string on the tuner and proceed as normal. How in the world have you been able to play with the String Tube in place? Dave | ||
