But I couldn't resist. Found this one on Craigslist and the price was right. Went to see it and found it to be in real nice condition. The only issue is a very small piece of one eppie missing. No nicks, dings, no fret wear, strings were shot, but what can I say... Should match up with the 1537 nicely if it ever gets back from the spa.

Looks good with the rest of the present family too...

I think a 1547 would be a 2 knobber.

Correct on the 2 knobber point. Also, is this guitar a deep or a ssb?

It's a deep 1768. About as close to a 1547 as you can get. Believe me, it sounds as good as any I've played.

Nice, T.J. Is the 1768 the cutaway version of the 1718?

yeah man, I can't believe how nice this one sounds. I remember the 1718 I had at one time, and it sounded great, but this one has really mellowed over the years. From the serial number, looks to be an early '88.

Jim,

Nice.

Ignore the email I sent you. That pic had the humidity meter in it.

No wonder nobody's replying to me. I thought it was a lack of love.

How is that possible with all the gits you've foster-parented? Heck, I have to check my sig line to check if 'Iffy" has one or two 'f's... Yeah, it's two.

Is this one of the ones you've only had once? Even more impressive!

:D

I'll tell you I am not lusting after the FD-14 anymore. I really like the JW. I like the 12 fret wide neck. The tone is a lot warmer than my other Ovations. It is the only guitar I am playing now. Thanks for selling it to me, I glad to see you have another one too.
