Well, I had made an offer of $900 for it (got to get my "per unit" cost down.) :p :p Course, I didn't get a response :( :( From what I have been told, unless you find one at a dealer or this demo that Al has - no more available. All I can tell you, IMHO, is this is not just a replication of the 1619 - this jumps put and makes a statement. It is now the classic that I compare other guitars to.

But does the $1,700 include the Ovation case also. It should but I know places like Sam Ash and a few others on-line will equal the "best" prices but do not include a case. You may want to make sure of this. Al P. is the best for deals and honesty from what I've seen. Play on! John L. Std. Balladeer Legend LX Celebrity C026 Tornado Takamine 12 String Fender P-Bass

We have two Sam Ash stores and they each have one, and Guitar Center also has one. They are beautiful that's for sure. But alas, my being left handed precludes me from ever owning one, as I'm sure they didn't make any lefties. On the bright side, I just bought a 1981 1619-4 in near pristine condition, so that kinda makes up for it, I guess. I know it doesn't have the new truss rod configuration or the advanced electronics, but it sure sounds, looks and plays mighty sweet! Jeff

But I could never do any serious playing that way. I too have seen guys do that. A few of the old left handed blues players (Albert King for one) used to play with the strings upside down like that. Joined: August 2002 Posts: 110 | my 30th arrived today..."gorgeous" (cant keep my hands off her)!!! i've just finished reading the threads about 30th vs legend LX. its kinda hard to compare the 2(considering the price difference). maybe if they were to be the same price, the 30th would sound/feel WAY better to those who prefer the LX. NOW i know why Tony Calman owns 3! i can see that they're not numbered. how would i know which one i own(serial number?). well, i post a picture tomorrow.

FYI...I'm not a super 'puter dude but I have had luck with posting a digital picture. When I download it from my camera it isvery hi def and large. Before I posting I take it into Adobe Photo shop, adjust the size down to something like 4 x 5, then convert it to a jpj file. That way it downloads fast with plenty of clarity. Brad .
