Thems is Beautiful Dave!

Did you mean to post this in the "For Sale" area by any chance?

Very nice collection.

Two rules of thumb: 1) Yes, everything is for sale for the right price. 2) If you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford it.

I may be cheap but I can be had!

confession: I have used many of the OFC Gallery pics as screensavers. I have never claimed them as mine though! My purpose is to entertain and inform!

confession: I have said that the Baby playing the Flying V is me though.

Dave's O's are lovely!

dave, in the early '70's i had a glen campbell artist (mid-depth bowl, gold hardware, ivory bound finger board, deluxe enlays, signed truss-rod cover) i didn't know there was also a campbell balladeer...

The Glen Campbell Deluxe Balladeer was the highest end model of the shiny bowl series, and was not around in very large numbers. It was a deep bowl with all the trimings - gold HW, bound fretboard, diamond shaped inlays. In the transition from the shiny bowl series to the first textured bowl guitars, the GCDB basically became the 1117 Legend. Later, the Artist depth bowl was introduced ('72 ?) and the 1117 Legend was offered with this shallower bowl and call the 1127 Glen Campbell Artist Balladeer. BTW, the original shiny bowl Glen Campbell 12-String came over at the same time into the textured bowl 1118 Glen Campbell 12-String and kept the deep bowl.

Are you asking if theses guitars are mine? I can assure you that they are. I took this photo in my own backyard just yesterday.

Not at all! I was saying that I don't tell others their mine. I do give them as much Ovation History as they can handle and ask them why they choose to play sucky guitars instead. Well maybe not as bad as that.

Its a good conversation starter as well.

Yeah, I like to do that as well. "Hey, nice performance. But tell me, why is someone as talented as you playing such a shitty guitar?"

Yeah, safe bet to say that these guitars definately did not come from the same tree. I imagine they looked a lot more similar when they were all new. For whatever, some age and chgange color differently than others. Or so it seems.

Nice grouping Daddy!

Isn't it funny how people react to these type of pictures? People here will love it and the outside world might think you're a bit off. I got that reaction from my picture of 60 Travis Beans. The shrink that offered his card and condolences was a nice guy though.

Dave, the GC 12-string, I assume, is the one you got a couple of months ago on Ebay. Did you have Kim and company do any work to it or did you leave it as is? Nice group, by the way!
