Location: Brisbane Australia | 2015 seems to have been my Year Of Ovation Guitars.  I have been lurking for over 12 months while I have been looking to find a UK11 to buy. Earlier this year I saw Damon's SBB 1984 Collectors Edition - it was calling me  I am not much of an acoustic player, but I had to have it. And so it is 
About a month ago I was following Nancy's thread on her UK11 and she kindly pointed out that there was one for sale on Reverb and it was on special. It's now mine, and I got to play it for the first time today. Fantastic! I have a new favourite guitar as of now! What a great instrument 
My job has taken me to Malaysia this year so I went out amp shopping over the weekend and ended up with a Vox AC30C2 - I can't wait to try them both out at a gig. My first opportunity to crank it to gig volume will be Oct 17th.  |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Hope you enjoy the Vox. I used an AC30CCX with the blue alnicos for a while, but found it just too darn heavy to lug around, and 30 watts of class A output is very loud, too loud in fact for most indoor gigs in my opinion. It weighed over 70 pounds. I did love the Vox sound on the vintage channel, so I sold it and bought an AC15 hand wired Ltd edition in the finished wood cabinet. It sets in the practice bandroom and I use it for the electric signal chain. It is just too nice to lug around on stages. I wish we played more outdoor gigs where these big class A amps could be put to better use. And congrats on the UKII. There are only so many to go around. I love mine |

Location: Brisbane Australia | Damon, I am inclined to agree. I have built few guitars to my personal preferences - I was thinking it couldn't get better than that! I picked the UK11 up out of the case and immediately felt like I had been playing it for years. Wow! I haven't played it at stage volume yet, but I can't wait... yeah!
the AC30... heavy! I wish it had wheels like my Mesa Boogie. They are both around the same weight but the AC30 is actually a little bigger. yeah! Heavy! |

I am SO happy that it went to a good home!! I had been watching that one like a Hawk, but the one on eBay was "calling" to me. I am so glad that you got this one, and it went to such a Great Home! They sure are Amazing Guitars!!!

Location: Brisbane Australia | I felt the need to comment now that I have done a couple of gigs with this guitar - this is the most enjoyable guitar I have ever played It sounds full and chimey with the single coils and it really rocks out on the humbuckers. But best of all, it just feels really good to play. It doesn't get in the way, if that makes sense. Very happy to the point I would buy another one "just because".

| Coming in late to this, but I have to say that Damon's blonde UKII is completely stunning. Maybe the nicest-looking Ovation electric guitar I've ever seen, and that is really saying something. Love the all-natural look, and the way it seems like a perfect hybrid of the classic Ovation acoustic and electric "looks". Nicely done. |
