GRAB IT!!! That is a fantastic price for a fantastic guitar! Unless there is something else majorly wrong with it, that is probably the best deal I have ever heard of for an Adamas. And the 1581 is one of the best sounding guitars I have ever played. I play mine every day.

If I could only keep one guitar, it would be my Adamas II. One of the best guitars they ever built....

Thanks for your input. Got pictures sent to me. It looks beautiful except for a bad glue job on the headstock wing. Bought it for 650 plus shipping
I should get it in about a week. I can't wait to play it, though it will probably go straight to a luthier for repair. I need to check around for a decent one in my area.

Depends on where in Minnesota you are. I don't have the names, but I know there are several good ones in the Twin Cities.

Congratulations by the way. You are going to LOVE this guitar!

Im close enough to the twin cities and drive up there every day for work from New Prague MN. Thanks, I don't think having such a nice instrument will improve my playing, but I keep learning every day and will as long as I am able. I'm sure the sound will beat my 1677 o which is my go to guitar.

Congrats on your new acquisition! Hopefully you can get a cosmetic repair you can live with so you forget about it. Then you can fully enjoy the glorious Adamas sound.

I'll try to find the names of the luthiers my friends who used to live there swear by.

And you might be surprised in that your playing probably WILL improve. It won't necessarily be because the guitar is easier to play or anything. It'll be because you will love it so much you will play a lot more often. These guitars are, as Jonmark said, one of the very best they ever made. I had only had mine for a short while before a friend of mine decided he had to have one too. I am so excited for you! Let us know the minute it arrives!

Will do......and would appreciate any names if you get a chance. Not too worried about the cosmetics as I seldom play in front of people. Not much makes me happier than just playing.

Got the Adamas today. It sounds amazing! I will have to work harder to do such a fine instrument justice. It is mint except for a small ding on the back of the neck and the reglued ear, both of which I can live with. My husband looked at my guitar collection and asked me which one I was going to part with. The 1667 legend, the sweetwater elite T or the F25 Conn. The Conn was my Dads guitar and never goes out of tune so nope! The 1667 has always been my go to guitar. That may change now with the Adamas feeling as great as the 1667 but sounding different. I will have to think about the T. Though he may forget about my promise to sell one....haha

If you buy similar looking guitars he will never notice the difference when another one shows up....

It's an awesome guitar. I've been recording with it exclusively. Check out tunes like "Spoonman Strut" or "Gathering Storm" (links in my signature). It is an AWESOME axe.

I have some great guitars... The 1581 gets the most attention.

Congrats on the find!

OMA's on the right track. Surely your husband has his own weakness (a new golf club?) - exploit it!
