Looks like a few people got new wood this week.

Trader Jim got a dandy Martin 0018-VS
Music Mike got a spanky Takamine sunburst
Beal picked up something of the CJ ilk
And I stumbled on this little baby ...

OM3 Maple Custom

Kill more trees !!!

Beauty, Bobbo, congrats. Please give us a report when it arrives. I've always liked the look of maple but wasn't sure about the tone. I like a big bottom end (shaddup Wabbit, Weas, darkbar, Jas, Beggin', Phil - did I miss anybody?).

Congrats Dave! I never did like maple guitars till I got to spend a little time with one. Granted, the one I got is not of that caliber, but I kind of like the sound just the same.

It should sound great. I had one like that for a few years. Great balance. Mine had an Engleman top, good for fingerstyle. In the end it didn't get played enough and moved on.

I've got a maple SJ (bigger sized body than the OM). I love the sound, bright but not harsh. Contrary to some misconceptions it's got plenty of bottom end. Has a lot to do with the overall design and construction.

My maple Collings C10 is very balanced and I had a while back a maple Guild 12 string that was very full sounding.

That guitar is a beauty Dave and the K&K is a nice bonus. Nice price also!

97 Collector : (wide nut) is coming today!
Ovation 1763 : should clear customs this week!
Adamas 1781 : should clear customs this week!

Wasn't planned that way, it's funny how things just come together. Now just gotta work out how to explain three new guitars to SWMBO!

Wow. Everytime I think Dave has just about the most complete collection going, he upgrades it yet again. Terrific.

Dave, you get the maple yet?

I understand that my mandola just sold so the SJ custom is screaming my name.
