He tried, but never even finished putting all the strings on. I bet he couldn't get the nylon ones to stop slipping. I cleaned it up, fixed a cracked brace and strung it with steels and it's wonderful. | ||

Joined: May 2005 Posts: 58 Location: Germany | guys ! I have one! Yes !!! I found it at the german bay and I won it for 450 Euros. Well, all in all I had to drive 700km to get it, but hey, its saturday and it was a really sunny day! A nice day for travelling the country on the Autobahn :-) I will post pictures soon. It is a 1981 made 1614 Ovation and it is in almost perfect shape! No cracks, no hairlines etc. The seller changed the Volume control and the strap pins to some after market chrome things. I will order original ones to build it back to the original shape just like 1981. Mission accomplished - Chapter closed :-) . | ||
