To launch the O-Decoder in shell mode just click on the link. I scrolled down to the '83 Collector (because I have one) and it says the same thing as on the ser.# reg. page that it has the OP-24 electronics. There was no OP-24 in '83, it has the old stacked 2-knobber FET pre-amp. I think the first collector to get it was the '85. Don't slap me for nitpicking though, I'm very appreciative of the effort. | ||

Some of the numbering is a bit elusive, e.g., I had a CC57 (no zero), and a CC67, which are not reflected in the list. Same models, probably just earlier manufacture dates. Joined: October 2006 Posts: 42 Location: New Hartford, CT | Trying to understand this thread...I'm assuming ur talking about serial numbering to determine year..model...etc...I was part of a team formed to get control of this back in the late 80's...I will tell everyone this....if you own an Ovation guitar thats a model with a serial # inside the bowl...there is no "REAL" information on the year, model etc...Ovation had some problems figuring this out at one point...but, there is ways to find out depending on parts specs....Ovation allways did things their own way....so things have changed...even though they may look the same. | ||
