I just got tickets to see Al DiMeola next week here in Anchorage, Alaska! We don't get this level of guitarist up here too often. I've never see him but am looking to see and hear how my guitar (an Al signature Ovation) is supposed to sound! He will be perforning with Manuel Barrueco.

Even still he'd never part with that Ovation, the back'd make a hell of a Drift boat.

Nope. That Ovation will be with me for a looooong time. I don't ever expect to play it like him, but it gives me great pleasure whenever I pick it up to play anything. What an instrument (or piece of art)!

I had the great pleasure of seeing the treo concert of Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin and Paco DeLucia back in the early 80's. I'll never forget it. Simply incredible.

You enjoy the concert.

I'm not normally a jealous person, but in your case I'll make an exception.
on stage at the same time - the greatest guitar player the world's ever seen and 2 more from the all time top 20.
I think I would have died. (Happy).

This may sound odd but I took my mother to see them. However that was a good thing on numberous accounts because if she wasn't there I may have had enough substances in my system to render the entire night completely unrememorable.

When I was young I was an idiot. The stories I could tell.

There was no opening act that I can remember but then I was with my mom so we could have been running late. These guys played awesomely for nearly two and a half hours so they didn't need an opening act.
