Has anyone seen the new Elite T in Lusty Red? I've seen pictures on eBay, and it looked pretty nice. One question: Who thinks up these names?!? Imagine after a worship service, your pastor comes up to you and says he admires your guitar: you say "Oh pastor, thank you, I just got it! Don't you love the color, it's LUSTY RED!" I don't know, but it doesn't work for me!

Isaiah 1:18 says...
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as SCARLET, they shall be as white as snow; though they be RED like CRIMSON, they shall be as wool.
Will the next red model be call CRIMSON SIN or SCARLET INIQUITY? :) Just kidding, but this is a great promise from the Lord fulfilled in JESUS CHRIST.

And I suppose a guitar color called BLACK is offensive to african-americans? And a guitar color called HONNYBURST is offensive to all homosexuals? If you're worried about it and your pastor asks, just say RED. If he looks confused, just explain that it's the same color as the bingo chips. Dave

They don't use bingo chips anymore. Now they're playing on computers. Kinda takes the fun out of it, I would think... But they're still as quirky as ever as far as superstitions and strange rituals go....

My grandmother used to play bingo. She had to tap the chip 3 times on the table before putting it on the board. Weird stuff. Dave

Any that strange song they sing...

It's a call/response thing.

The leader calls out "BINGO!"

To which everyone else responds, "Aw, SH!T!"

"Lusty Red" isn't any worse than some of the strange names the car companies cook up for their particular colors of paint. :D

Like the Crayola crayon for which there was a contest to rename Indian red? The best entry for the new name was "The Color Formerly Known As Indian Red".

Sorry guy, I didn't mean to offend anyone - it was a joke! Let me be very clear: I wasn't offended by the name "LUSTY RED", I just thought it was extremely DUMB!!!! To me at least, a guitar that is worth over a thousand dollars should not be given cutesy names or colors. That should be saved for the cheaper imports and Daisy Rock guitars. And after all that, let me say that I actually liked the 1778T in the color LUSTY RED!

I think naming colors is tough. You want something that is memorable and brings a visual to mind when you hear it. Lusty Red isn't too bad. Without ever seeing the guitar I've got a pretty good idea what it looks like. Dave

In the early seventies you could order a Plymouth Duster with the color named "plum crazy".

And lest we forget Chrysler's "LimeLight Green" & "Panther Pink"
or AMC's "Big Bad Blue". I know I'm forgetting some, old age? :D

Finally....
For all who would like to see...presenting...Lusty Red:

What do you think? Not bad, if the lighting is showing the right color.
