Those volume and tone knobs don't look original, and he mentions a strap button, but I don't see one...

...wish I had $500 to toss away, but not right now...

...anyone think this is a factory conversion?

I think it's a conversion (new bridge and nut). A real lefty patriot would have the emblem on the opposite bout. Dave

I agree, and Mike, you're correct, those knobs are not original.

Probably was converted to a lefty by the factory and the pickup, whaterver it is was added later. Still a nice guitar.

Not this week, tomorrow my son goes in for ACL knee surgery...and he just got braces on this year, too...

...so the account is beyond 'empty'...I can't even fake my way into that thing!

What are the odds of this; it turns out the original owner of that Patriot is a good friend of mine and Paul Moody's. It was stolen out of his car in Ft. Lauderdale about 25 years ago.

Disclaimer: I'm not disparaging or implicating the current seller in any way, just marveling at the irony that it would show up in such a public way all these years later.

Only 25 years ago? Moody, PI should get on the trail. "He's moody, but he's good."

Update: The seller really wanted to see this guitar get back to it's original--and rightful--owner, so he offered my friend a good deal, and is even covering the shipping. Guitar and original owner will soon be reunited... Who says there are no happy endings. :)

I just finished reading "The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks (My Wife suggested I read this). Prescribed reading for anyone married 10 or more years!

A reunion is a good thing!

Been there, done that, and a third purchase of the same guitar is a distinct possibility (according to the adoption agency). Dave

Whew! That gets me off the hook!

(Fortunately, my son's surgery went well...now I just have to PAY for it...even with insurance, it will be a chunk of dough...)
