Just to focus on the purpose of Memorial Day:

First of all, it is not for surviving veterans. We'll have our 'day' later on...

It's to remember and give reverenced thanks to those that paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.

It's to support the families, friends and fellow warriors of the those that grace our hallowed grave sites, those marked and those unknown, throughout the world.

It's to remind us that 'freedom isn't free' (trite maybe in some minds, but TRUE nonetheless!)!

May the 'Supreme Commander-in-Chief' replace the chevrons and brass of our fallen warriors with halos of righteousness and peace!
