Still thinking we should all put together a guitar at the Gathering in two weeks.

I will attempt a Hollow Body Viper but might need to fall back on a re-topped Viper instead.

Here's some of the combinations coming together:

This is tougher than picking out the right tie for a Job interview...

Woodster, we have a shop right off the Cavern as well. Wired with 110 and 220 and complete with a fridge full-o-beer

That really is a great top, Mike. It looks like dragon's breath flame bellowing from the end of the fretboard and spreading down over the body through the bridge. Really cool.

Looks like you have the basics there. What's left on the materials list? I don't have a lot of electric parts, but willing to contribute.

Decisions will be over pickups and bridges.

If I make a true hollowbody then a Tuna-matic Bridge and a Tailpiece are in order.

The big question is how to market it, auction or raffle/chance?

Its on the shelf.
Seems a shame to ruin the historic importance by making it into a guitar.

Its one of the proto pieces provided to Kaman to show what the (German?) Factory could provide.

Could also use a strap, a case and/or a Gig Bag.

Actually, that's pretty close. I have several toasted pots. Poor technique. "Blob & Sob"

I have an extra Schaller, bridge, new, like this one: http://www.warmoth.com/%2FSchaller-475-6-String-Flat-Mount-Bridge-C...

I could chip in a pair of Carvin humbuckers, black, with open coils and 11 polepieces. Or some chrome Korean G&B minihumbuckers, overwound. I have others, give me an idea of what you'd like.

I have a lot of miniswitches and maybe an idea for a tone control.

Not sure if I'll be there, but I could mail you this stuff.

Steve,
You are wonderful! Only if you get to show up - I was hoping to work the configuration as a Commitee - as dangerous as that can be.

I like that Bridge though, I've come to appreciate the flat mount bridges when they allow adjustment, and that one does.
