Welcome, bill. I'm not sure if there is such a thing as an Ovation strap but you can get an Ovation Fan Club strap by pm'ing alpep.

You want an OFC guitar strap? YOU GOT IT. In fact you have your choice of straps. That is correct, there is no one strap, you can choose whatever you wish for your needs.

check out this website http://longhollowleather.com/

These are the same fine people that made those wonderful pick pocket key chain holders that were in the goody bags at the last tour. they will put the same logo on the strap. I suggested near the strap button hole so that it is unobtrusive yet shows your support for our club and the Ovation guitar brand.

These straps are ordered on an individual basis. They are a very high quality and made in the USA. At some point a run of generic straps may be made but for now you can get exactly what you want to fit your needs.

If interested follow the link, and then contact me.

The OFC straps are very nice and of course I have one. Here's another company that makes very high quality straps for a good price, but without the OFC logo.

I was such a huge fan of a couple of strap company's products until I got one of these Italia jobs. Now I own 5 or 6 of 'em. Get 'em on eBay as they're much cheaper than on the website. Be prepared for a really] long wait, though (4-6 weeks). They don't put yours in the fabrication queue until you order it. Way worth the wait, however.

The Italia straps are beautiful, but I had two problems with the one I ordered.. 1) it was too short for my needs, and 2) it was too thick so I couldn't get a dunlop straplok fixture onto it.

If you (or anybody else) are interested, I'd be happy to sell mine in basically new condition. It's the standard length 2.5" "Vintage Blues" style as shown on this page . $25 shipped to CONUS.

I've put Dunlops on all my Italias. Here's what you do. Punch a bigger hole where the straplocks go (I use a leather hole punch, but a utility knife will do the job if you're careful. Then take the metal grommet that goes on the outside of the strap, lay it on the strap on a flat surface, cover with a thin piece of leather (or cardboard). Whack it with a hammer (not too hard). This compresses the leather where the grommet goes. Once you get that done just put the straplock on as normal. First time I did it it took about 10 minutes for both. Now it takes about 5.

Also, they come in two lengths. I always pay the extra dollar (on eBay) and get the longer length.

But enough about that, Jason, are we talkin' the multi-soundhole rosette or the round sound hole rosette? I'd like to get one of those, too.

Correct. They used to make those in the '70s and early '80s. Leather ones too.

Those embroidered ones look a little like the belts that Sam handed out at the SE gathering. He gave us his own instructions on turning them into straps.

Those belts are way too wide to be used with any beltloops nowadays.

bmwbill, about strap locks, you may not know that Ovations come equipped with Dunlops. You just need to buy the Dunlop straplock and install the part that goes on the strap.

Well worth the money for the peace of mind.

I can't tell you, Jason. Someone may know if there any to be had. I fear they may be rare. You would have gone nuts over some of the memorabilia Sam was passing around.
