Bought it new about 20 years ago and rarely played it. No dings, no dents, no scratches but wood shows 20 years of age (it's been living in my closet). As soon as I can establish a fair price, I'll post some pics and hope somebody's interested.

I'll defer to some here more experienced than me regarding the current value. I have a '69 which I paid $400 for, in ok condition about 2yrs ago, and I paid $250 this year for an '81 in excellent condition. Yeah, the market had changed. I'd love to see some pics.

Or you could look at the photo of the sticker... :p Ah... But it it actually a Refurbished item, or just have an FRG label put on it for Clearance Purposes? I have a 40th Anniversary K-1111 that I bought truly used, but it has an FRG sticker. (It had originally been a floor demo and then had one previous owner...) But it is #006 in the series! Does this mean that they couldn't make SIX of them without screwing one up? I believe that they just made some really spendy re-issues for us Old Farts... Then the economy turned to ka-ka. Damn shame that they cannot sell these guitars, even for that cheap... They might do better if they included the Case!

Now, having given my personal opinion, I know people who love them. I don't know why, but play one before you buy it and decide for yourself. In the early 80's, the GC Artists were given an A braced top. Then they became outstanding guitars in everybody's opinion.....

Don't tell anyone, but this happens a lot on guitars from Ovation. A handful of us bought K-1111 reissues this way ... they were perfect in every way. Some of us bought our 2007BCS guitars this way ... they were all perfect. I bought my Lennon this way ... it was perfect. Nothing wrong with this guitar and it's a gresat deal ... but ... they are charging extra for the case. Still a good deal though. The one that started this thread is a six string artist bowl. I know lots of folks who have a different opinion than Moody, so don't take his word for it. Make up your own mind. But if it is a case queen, this could be a really nice guitar for somebody. This could be terrific as a Nashville strung guitar. Welcome, MisterMoto (one of my favorite surf songs of all time). Get some pictures up when you can. I'll bet this thing is a beauty.
