Hi all, I've a funny question. Is it possible to find an ovation with a multi soundhole(I love the 6778LX) and a nutwidth 1' 7/8.... I've large fingers...and I'm not a very good musician , but I love nice guitars.
Thank you for your help.

Viper EA63

Do a search for ea63 and you'll find some threads discussing this guitar.

Greg, though the Vipers do have multi-soundholes, they're not very good acoustic guitars.

But they're great plugged in!

True, good point.

Not sure what Christian is looking for and it's the only multi sound hole ovation i know of that has the 1 7/8 neck. There is a thread that discusses the limitations of this guitar you point out.

The viper EA63 is a nylon string, I'm looking for a metal string. I've a country 1614 and I love the nutwidth 1 7/8 ''. But the ovation with the multi soundhole have a 1 11/16'' nutwidth. May be I'll have to order a specific one at the factory, and it will cost me a harm and a let minimum.... :-(

Hi Christian,

If you're lucky enough, you could find an Adamas I or II with a wide neck.
Few were made like this one or this one and these guitars are magic!!!

These models are usually expensive especially for us in Europe.
The first one is mine ;) and I've been lucky enough to have it for 1280€ (+/- 1625 US$) on Ebay and it's a very good price.

You can believe in me, this guitar is really amazing and it sounds!!!

you are lucky to get this beauty..... I'll keep the model # in file, and may be I will have the chance to gat one. I'm in Montreal and may be it will be easier than in Europe to find one ..... I didn't find this model on the Adamas site. Is it discontinued?
(forgive my basic English...I'm french and I'm just trying to do my best.... :-)....)

Christian,

You're right, this model is discontinued.

And don't worry about your English, I'm well knows here as the worst member in English language... :D :D

Good luck for your wide neck.

J :)

PS: Maybe don't you saw that I'm French too... ;)

Christian,

Your best bet is with an Elite or Adamas 2. I think either way you'll have to watch for a used one, or custom order one from the factory the way you want it.

I agree on the setup though - I think my next O is going to have to be a wideneck multi-hole. Just too good not to have one!

Since you say you like the 6778LX, you could order one with the wider neck. At least you would know you will get it. You may wait for the rest of your life for one of those discontinued guitars mentioned. John <>{
