Location: Reno, NV | Does anyone have an opinion on Schecter electrics? Im currently look at the possibility of a new Fender Strat. The new Hwy101 looks good, but the Schecter looks like a really nice guitar and caught my eye. Looking in the $600 - $1000 price range. |

Location: Cicero, NY | I don't own one but I have played a friends' Schecter. Can't tell you what model but it sounds great when he's playing it (jazz/rock). He's told me that he won't play anything but anymore - he just loves the sound he gets. |

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | Never had the pleasure of working out a schecter. But I don't like the current crop of fenders. Have you thought about ESP's, Godins or Reverends? Or making your own from Warmoth? And of course Hamers? |

....I've always wondered how you'd play (chord) a 7 string.....I have a hard enough time with 6. |

Location: Houston, TX | I tend to like the older ones. I think they were a parts company like Mighty Mite or All-Parts and some of the guys working there just decided to go whole hog. Somebody correct me if that's not quite right.
The ones I've played in the last 10 years or so are visually attractive and some of them have a couple of unique features, but most seemed like a sum of the lowest common denominator from other popular guitars. Jack of all trades, master of none. Lacked distinction. Workable, respectable, but nothing great or really interesting. |

I get lost on a six string neck. No idea how I'd cope on 2x12's plus a 6!

Location: Boston | I had both a Schecter PT Custom Tele and a Fender Nashville Tele. Both were worth about the same amount of money. The Shcecter was a much nicer built, better looking better equippped guitar. I liked playing it more as well. I ended ups selling both as I am not a Tele kinda guy.
I kinda miss the Schecter.... |

Location: Oregon | Schecter..did I spell it right? Anyway, all the nu-metal bands use 'em for some reason. I like 'em okay. If that's the style your going fo though... get an Ibanez... or maybe a Jackson. |
