I must admit I have been mighty impressed with the home recordings you guys have been posting here. The link below is the complete opposite extreme. As simple as it could possibly get - me, a ukulele, a single mic, and one live take. Not anything to be proud of, but the story behind it is interesting.

Two weeks ago was my 24th wedding anniversary and for the first time ever I was not with my wife due to business travel. So on the day, I emailed her and told her to open i-tunes and play what I had recorded. Again, it's nothing fancy and I'm no serious singer or player, but at least my wife got a kick out of it.

Only if I can evade being caught sneaking guitars into the house. I've got to pull one off tomorrow (U681). Wish me luck. Dave

Awesome Dave. I like your voice on the song you did very well. That should get at least 4 more guitars this year, but have some standby songs to sing to her to keep her buttered up. again I really enjoyed hearing the song, Thanks for sharing it on the board.

Very nice, Dave. Beautiful in it's simplicity. It's not that easy to get a clean, heartfelt track like that in one take.
Good job!

Dave,
Well done.

I bet you'd get lucky if you did a live version in sideburns and a sparkly jump suit

That was very nice! You probably got partial forgiveness for being away!

For the very first time I am feeling twinges of Ukelele GAS.

Cruster, can you do "Hello my Baby" to make it go away?
