I came up with this one, though: Not counting the LTD, which has Ovation made more of? Breadwinners or Deacons? | ||

Joined: July 2002 Posts: 1900 | Breadwinners by a long shot. They came out first, in a variety of finishes at a lower cost. When I bought my Deacon I think it only came in 2 finishes and I had never heard of the Limited.. | ||

Even tracking serial number ranges won't give you an idea of what year an electric was made in, except by comparison of others'. Hopefully the expanding of the VXT line means that they realize they have a very viable electric guitar market still...it would be cool to se reissues of the Limited, Viper, etc. | ||

The serial number is still pretty accurate to get the year made based on the chart in the reference area, and before everyone jumps on me, in my experience 99% of the time it's accurate to the year at least. In reality the only time I have seen a solid body serial NOT accurate is when someone replaced the neck plate, and the serial on the replacement was from a different year. | ||
