I was wondering if anyone here is close enough that they could stop by and give an unbiased, hands-on opinion for me? http://musicgoround.com/detail.aspx?id=1014024

I can check it out for you when I get back in town next week but not sure why you would want to do this trade. (ooops...just noticed I am using Beal's account by mistake....but this is T28).

It will move back up to the top of my "must have" list if I quit putting other stuff up there. Initially I didn't like the contour bowls, but I was noticing that they seem to fit me better lately. I need to fix that problem, too.

When I joined this forum the 05 was the talk. Of course, it was in 05, so the timing was right. A lot of people here raved about the 07 a couple years ago, too, but I played the 05 and 07 on the same day, under noisey conditions, and liked the 05 better. Maybe I'm just a centerhole guy.

One of them had to go to fund the Folklore. I kept the '05. Much as I loved the 1768, (it actually had a better neck) there was really no contest. I bought my 1768 in 2005 for $525USD. If I were you, I'd keep the '05 and find the money to buy an elite. If someone had offered me an '05 PLUS $150USD for the 1768, I'd have taken the deal in a heartbeat and looked around the house for anything else I could talk the sucker into buying. And thanks Clive.
