I have had more success getting interest in items if I price them agressively initially. I did put a $1050 BIN for a fast sale (which is what BIN should be used for really). I've been following the prices on the MEWP's and they go for over $1000, always. At $500 this is a bargain. I try to not use reserve prices as I found it discourages bidders (nothing worse than putting in a bid to see that damned "Reserve not reached"message. That and EBay charges a ridiculous amount of fee for the privilege. Of course you run the risk that you have to let something go at a low price, but I am confident that with over 30 watchers just on the MEWP after just 2 days there are a lot of lurking potential buyers out there. On average I find that the value of my auction items increases 30-50% in the last 2 days of an auction with most of that happening in the last 20 minutes.

I normally had to cank the input way up sometimes pushing it through the ceiling generating some noise. I've been on the lookout for a focusrite - and is sounds like you have nothing but praise for it Stuart. It seems like it is a piece of gear for a tweeker? Dano Not only did the pre-amp solve that problem but the VoiceMaster Pro has a myriad of functions designed for voice that allows you to tweak the channel to solve the individual problems with a given singer (add some tube warmth, De-esser, add some harmonic sparkle, EQ on the way in). I even used it for the mic'd sound of my accoustic guitars and MM68 Mandolin. It has some beautiful ways to get shimmer and warmth at the same time on an accoustic recording through my excellent but rather flat and sterile AKG C3000. I will buy one of these or a better focusrite interface as soon as I can afford one as I am sold on the benefits. Hmmm Liquid Channel looks nice!!

I know last time we were together (after playing around with mine) he was seriously wanting to pickup a Brian Moore syn guitar along with the GR33 and VG88. He is really gonna kick himself when he gets back and sees this thread.
