But I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a pristine Larrivee LV09E with B Band dual source blend preamp. Not a mark on it except when I brought it outside, every piece of dust within a mile radius attached itself to the guitar. Interesting trades or cash. Email me and we'll talk.

Jim, looks beautiful. I have sent you an email to see how much your asking, or what you are looking for tradewise. Thanks, John

Beautiful, I did not realize it was a cutaway.

What year is it?

I would have to guess at the year, but I believe it's an 06. It doesn't show very well, but the binding is a beautiful flamed maple.

Those are pretty popular up here. See Larrivees on the Seattle Craigslist all the time.

It has a dual source pre-amp, that's so cool. I did that with my 12 string Alvarez, and my friend has the same on his Guild.

I think that would be a great feature on the Ovations...

So does it have 2 sources, or does it need a second source installed?

It's got an under bridge transducer like a K&K mini western and an under saddle piezo that you can blend. The Piezo gives it a little snap and the soundboard transducer adds a mellow tone. It has enough adjustments that you can completely eliminate feedback. I am really on the fence about getting rid of this one. If it doesn't sell, I really don't care. I'll keep it. The top has a very nice silking to it and the sides and back are typical Larrivee quality.

Ain't that kind-of-a-drag? You are listing all the cool features of a guitar you're trying to sell/trade....

Then you think to yourself... "Self? This is a really nice instrument, Why don't I keep it?"

OMA, you hit it on the head! I really don't care if I do sell this one. Kind of like the CA that Povation wanted, then I played it and reneged on the deal. I eventually did sell the CA to Povation, and it's on it's way to him tomorrow. If I don't sell the Larry, I won't be terribly upset. ;)

I had an L-05 and can verify that Larrivee makes some of the most beautiful looking and sounding guitars of anyone. A little biased, perhaps, but mine sounded better than more expensive Taylors and (to me) as good as most equivalent Martins. Not quite the sustain and resonance of the Brazilian rosewood-backed Martins, but then again it was about a third of the price.

My main guitar is a Larrivée - great guitars.
The year is in the serial number somewhere. I can't look at mine now, but you can e-mail them the number and they'll tell you.

I really like the Larry, but I like the CEO-5 better. I'm just in the process of GAS and want to change a few around. I'll probably kick myself later just like I did when I traded the L10... Oh well, as it has been said..."such is the life of a trader"

I played this one last night plugged in, and now I'm not so sure I want to get rid of it. It has so many possible tone combinations with the two pickups that it can sound like several different guitars. This is the first time I have actually taken the time to play around with it, and I have to say, I'm impressed. I'll leave it up there and if I get any bites, I'll have to decide, but if not, it'll stay right where it is.
