Looks to be well documented. Starting bid of $36,000. Yikes, I'm out before the game starts.
There is also a link in the listing to a site that has all of Denver's guitars inventoried, photos, etc. Pretty cool. Happy bidding!

Not that John Denver is a bad guy... But NO! Nobody wants it.

As far as celebrity-owned guitars and such go, if you can sell it to a Museum it might be worth something to them. The mere fact that they are peddling it on evilBay just shows that it is NOT worth the asking price.
As far as History goes... The fact that John Denver owned and played a coupla dozen different guitars does not increase the value neither.

I would DEFINITELY give them $1000 right now.

Aside from that offer, they would have to find a very wealthy John Denver fan.

Any time you're selling a high ticket item, you're looking for the right buyer, be it an expensive guitar, car, or home. The trick is finding the right target market and getting the word out to that market.....

Some people don't understand that most people who are wealthy didn't get that way by being foolish and spending money frivolously.

I was thinking of that, too. So the market for this guitar would have to be inherited wealthy John Denver fan. There might not even be one of those. Or maybe a lottery winner?

Hey! ... don't get me wrong ... I don't have any anymosity for (or predjudice against) wealthy people. I wish I were one myself. But even if I WERE filthy-rich, I would still not buy that guitar for that price.

If I suddenly found myself filthy rich, I would buy this guitar. Then I would go on youtube and smash it to pieces just so it would never show up on Ebay again.

If you find yourself suddenly filthy rich you buy all kinds of shit. The trick is then you tell noone what you did cause they'll say "You bought a WHAT!!!!????" and thentell everyone they know.
No you keep that kind of shit quite.
