Joined: September 2006 Posts: 143 Location: Shotley Bridge, Northern England | Dweezil's mention of eBay polish in a recent post got me thinking: I have recently bought a blonde 1758 in great condition, but she has a patch of light pick scratches. Dweezil mentioned polish bought on eBay for this: has anyone here managed to buff out these kind of scratches? Thanks in advance HW

They were pretty bad and really detracted from the look of the Adamas. I would say I've reduced them by 90%. Next time I replace the strings I'll give it another go. Bloody heathens! Use you fingers not a pick!

Like you (I suspect) I want to improve the look of the soundboard but not damage it (and like you I'm a bit hesitant about ehich product to use). Besy wishes HW

All I can say is... 1. Try a SMALL patch first. 2. Don't rub hard the firs time just in case. 3. Read the instructions/guidelines

I learned the hard way that it will make a mess of a high gloss black lacquer finish. This is clear in the instructions, but what I don't know is which guitars are finished in lacquer and which are urethane (or something else).

They are just too deep. The guy before me must have played power chords with a knife. Someday I'll sand it down, but I'd like to save the original color.
