Can anyone shed light on this guitar? It was purchased in the Midwest in the early 80s. It has the bowl back, but a plastic face, & metal fretboard. R. Schulte

The neck was aluminium with the foam back. There weren't too many made and were really a breakthrough. These should be going for about $50,000 in the second hand market. (Then I could move these ones I have in the basement.....) Maybe that should be a period rather than a coma?

CWK Just because something is innovative does not mean it is valuable. we have seen this with Ovation over and over and over and over and over and over. It is interesting how Ovation can come up with an innovation and it will be a moderate success or flop and then someone would copy it

It seems that by using their one-piece brace, kerfing, neck/tail block moulding, Garrison have found a way to produce a very well-made reasonably-priced guitar using solid timbers, without going offshore. Unfortunately they haven't figured out how to make them sound good.
