Fedex delivered an old friend back home to me today: my Adamas 1688-5 that's been vacationing in the great Northwest for the past few years...Woody had promised to give me first dibs when or if he ever decided to sell and he did...I found new homes for a couple of mine and it worked out well! One of the great things about this forum is the friends it has fostered over the years. I appreciate those who have hung in there together still staying in touch even though we may be on opposite sides of the country or the world. These O&A guitars we love have made that happen. Thanks Mike for your friendship and I hope that everyone has a blast at the NorthWest OFC gathering later this summer! I'll be there in spirit. I think it's time for an East Coast OFC get together as well! Hmmmm...

You coulda left your guitar here just a tad bit longer dammit. Mike's famous for letting go of great 12 strings.

Don't ever do the same sorta deal with me. I doubt you'd ever get it back.

East Coast get together ???
Waiting with baited breath
My boy was just asking me yesterday if we were going to get to see you, Capo Guy, and whomever else could make it.
He is progressing in leaps and bounds with his playing, makes me jealous

Mike, it's in the mix...looking at late summer-early fall 2014...Gatlinburg/Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area...close to Knoxville airport and interstates...even split on rental and food...looking at several large cabins...very nice and private...I'm looking at them and will discuss all of this in a new thread before too long...I can put a reservation on the cabin and the sooner the better as they rent quickly...I'll start the thread before the holiday's to get a feel of how many plan to attend...it's been too long.

I haven't bought any new or old guitars in a long while. and sold only one about 36 years ago. Amps . . . that's another story.

Actually, the Professor came really close to buying a 97 Collector's that I spotted on Denver Craigslist about a year ago on my birthday. He said he'd buy it if I didn't. I didn't want him to reach his self imposed max of 50 guitars, so I bought it. I just realized that this should be in a different thread.

You mean "exceed", Mark, not reach.

OTTO!
How's it going. Haven't seen/heard from you in a while.
Still remember the rousing rendition of "Feeling Alright" at AI with me, Al, and Bobbo being your backup band.

Hey Stephen! I’ve been okay. Who could forget Feelin' Alright? An epic performance by all and a helluva lot of fun. Pretty tough to beat the company and the musicians at Amelia. Sure do miss you guys. Miss the WESB, too. Man, I really need an Ovation gathering fix.
