I find it's really a tight squeeze to fit the 1615 in the Ovation case with a basic webbing strap. I have to tuck it in around the body or else take it off and store it in the accessory compartment.

Aren't good quality leather straps (like the new OFC ones) more bulky?

I always take the strap off before I put it in the case anyway. Usually I'm carrying something else (e.g. music, guitar stand) so I have a spare bag for the strap.

Yes, quality leather straps are more bulky, especially if they're padded. Like TAFKAR, I always take mine off and put them in my gear bag (I have an old indestructible leather briefcase that I use). It's gotten to where I use a separate gear bag for almost anywhere I go, even if it's over to a friends house to jam acoustically.

I use this really cool beaded wood strap. I've found that I can fold it over and it fits nicely into the space created by the contour bowl on my Koala.

I also take mine off and if it's a strap for one of my cutaway's, I will roll it up tight and place it in the space where the cutaway is.
Fit's nice!!!

Leave it connected to the button on the butt, take it off the button by the neck and lay it over the length of the guitar, folding the strap up and over the headstock. I don't use strap locks on the strap......

I do the same as Richard and always carry a strap or two in the gig bag. The custom OFC softies available through Al roll up and easily fit inside the storage compartment of the case, although I don't personally use the hard cases for transport.

That was always one of the big drawbacks in the Ovation case. Very little room for anything else.

That might work. It usually lives in the case at home and I'm lazy about re-fitting the strap every time I play it.

My main strap has a nice sheepskin shoulder pad. I fold the straps under it with the sheepskin up, and put it in the headstock end of the case. Makes a nice soft, woolly pillow for the headstock.

The plastic bowl makes excellent storage also.
I hate wasted space!
