Culture Shock: Amongst the Xmas presents and post holiday sale items were "St. Elsewhere", "Doogy Hauser, MD" and "Titus" seasons on disc. The last couple of weekends were spent watching all without comercial interuptions! It's amazing how many epsisodes or portions can be missed. Also - St. Elsewhere/80's hair? what were we thinking?

My two favorite old shows to watch uninterrupted are "Crime Story" and "Homicide". We also got the full series of "Firefly" which is excellent. It's the one show that the whole family was able to watch without critcism.

I got a DVR from my cable service. When we do watch "live" TV, we just put it on "pause", go about our business for 15 minutes, then start it back up and zip past the commercials. We call it "puttin' time in the bank".
