He said do whatever. Wouldn't you know, whatever is something that I know very little about. So, I've had to make a difficult choice. While I've given way more workshops on that elusive songrwrting subject, I thought it would be more in keeping with the spirit of Ovation mania to try and tackle the fingerpicking thing from a different angle: INSTEAD OF WORKING WITH THE MORE FAMILIAR ALTERNATING THUMB, TRAVIS, ATKINS WHATEVER-YOU-WANT-TO-CALL-IT STYLE, WE WILL ROLLING ON OUR O'S. To be more specific, we will be learning some right hand rolling techniques that mainly involve the first four strings on the guitar, concentrating on learning how to incorporate open strings to give us nice arpeggios and chordal variations. I'm sure a lot of your have discovered your own licks in this style, so at the very least I hope to learn something. :) IT'S EASY AND FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!! :D This will be taking place right after Kim Keller's Ovation Maintenance Burlesque Show & Revue on Saturday. I will be at that one myself! Please e-mail Al and let him know if your are are planning to attend this workshop so I'll know how many licks to bring with me. Seriously, do let him know. This is my first tour, so I am really looking forward to meeting all you fellow Ovation fans! Thanks, Buddy Blackmon

I haven't played that one in years. Think embellished arpeggiated vocal accompaniment! You know, I just realized thinking about what Goober posted that he's going to teach us all Jerry's Breakdown!
